Libratherm offers a low cost, rugged and reliable Wall Mount Humidity Sensor cum Transmitter HX-440 for sensing T or RH or T + Rh in the environment and transmitting the proportional analog values (4-20) mA or (0-10) VDC.
Normally, the signal generated by T+RH sensors is low in strength hence cannot be transmitted over a very long distance, and if done so the signal is likely to drop over a very long cable which will result in the inaccurate measurement of temperature and %RH.
The High Precision Humidity Transmitter featured here converts these low-level signals from Pt-100 and Rh sensor to equivalent 4-20mA/0-10Vdc linear analog signal, which can be transmitted over a very long distance without loss of accuracy in the measurement. Dual 4-20mA proportional to T and %RH can be used for remote measurement and indication and control.
This Industrial Grade Transmitter operates on a 24VDC power supply and is housed in an ABS plastic enclosure with perforation for sensing. The 24VDC supply and 4-20mA are electrically isolated from each other and hence prevent any ground line interferences or loading effect, while connecting to any external measuring/controlling devices like DCS, PLC, BMS controller, HMI, DDC, or PID controllers. Standard 4 core or 6 core 2-meter cable with end terminal is attached to the transmitter for ease of connection and wiring.

HX-440 is for sensing RH only and transmitting the proportional analogue value in the form of (4-20)mA or (0-10)VDC.

The transmitter featured here converts these low-level signals from Pt-100 and RH sensor to the equivalent signal of 4-20mA/0-10VDC, which can be transmitted over a very long distance without losing ccuracy in the measurement. Dual 4-20mA proportional to T and %RH can be used for remote measurement and control.

 

This transmitter typically operates on a 24Vdc power supply (offers a wide range of 18 to 36VDC) and is housed in an IP-65 ABS plastic enclosure with a suitable length of the  SS  stem for inserting the sensor in the duct area. The 24VDC supply and 4-20mA are electrically isolated from each other. They prevent ground line interferences or loading effects while connecting to external measuring/controlling devices like DCS, PLC, or BMS controller DDC, PID or On/Off controllers. A standard 2-meter cable with end terminal lugs is attached to the transmitter for ease of connection and wiring.

Pt100 sensors are the most common type of platinum resistance thermometer. Often resistance thermometers are generally called Pt100 sensors, even though in reality they may not be the Pt100 type. Pt refers to that the sensor is made from Platinum (Pt). 100 refers to that at 0°C sensor has a resistance of 100 ohms (Ω).

A resistance thermometer is a type of temperature sensor. It consists of an element that uses resistance to measure temperature.
