Description:
Libratherm offers Microcontroller based multiple Ramp/Soak Programmable PID Temperature Controller Model PRC-967 which is designed to improve reliability, accuracy, and control for all processing applications. It features Ramp and Soak functions (the capability to control the temperature and its rate of change over a predetermined time span). This PID Programme Controller PRC-967 offers a single profile of 16 steps that can be programmed into the memory with the user-friendly membrane keyboard. Separate displays are provided to monitor simultaneously; the Process temperature, Set temperature, and the Program number. They can also be used as single set point control when the profile control is not desired. They accept user-selectable standard temperature sensors like K, R, S, and B type thermocouples.

The Profile Controller offers both switching outputs in the form of SSR driver or Triac to drive external single or three-phase Solid-state relays or load contactors and linear analog control outputs in the form of (4-20)mA or (0-5)volt or (0-10)VDC, which can be used to control heater power through Thyristor Power Regulators (for an electrical heating system) or to control the position of a modulating motor valve (for oil or gas-fired heating systems). The analog outputs can be directly connected to Libratherm make single-phase/three-phase SCR based phase angle fired power controllers, which are ideally suitable for both resistive and inductive heating load. Additional 4 relays are also provided for time or temperature-dependent event outputs as per the system requirement. The programmed profile and other parameters are retained in the nonvolatile flash memory in the event of power failure.

To monitor the online temperature profile of the heating system, a serial communication port on the RS485 interface can also be optionally provided, the same can be connected to the computer.
Libratherm offers Microsoft Window-based Software to view the online behavior of the heating system in both graphical and tabular format on the computer screen.

Description:
Libratherm offers Microcontroller-based Ramp/Soak Programmable PID Temperature Controller Model PRC-489 which is designed to improve reliability, accuracy, and control for all temperature control applications. It features Ramp and Soak functions (the capability to control the temperature and its rate of change over a predetermined time span). The single pattern of a total of 16 (ramp/soak) steps can be programmed and stored in the memory. It can also be used as single set point control when the ramp/soak profile control is not desired. The controllers are calibrated for K type thermocouple.
Control Outputs: This PID Pressure Controller PRC-489 offers both switching outputs in the form of SSR driver/Triac (AC SSR) for external SSR or external load contactor and analog output in the form of (4-20) mA or (0-5) volt control signal, which can be used to control heater power through external Thyristor Power Regulator. The analog outputs can be directly connected to Libratherm make single-phase/three-phase SCR based phase angle or zero cross over fired power regulators. Additional one/two relays are also provided for time or temperature-dependent event outputs as per the system requirement. The programmed profile and other parameters are retained in the nonvolatile memory in the event of power failure.
Thermocouple Break Protection: In the case of a thermocouple break, the control can be transferred to manual mode to continue the heating cycle and the user can alter the % of control output. The deviation hold feature assures guaranteed ramp. For quick heating from the ambient temperature, the hold feature is disabled in the very 1st ramp. Front Panel LED indicates the start and end of the cycle, the status of heater output, the status of the heating ramp, soaking, or cooling ramp. The unit of temperature measurement can also be selected as °C or °F as desired.
Auto Tracking Feature: In case of power failure during the normal heating cycle, the temperature is likely to drop. This PID Profile Controller has a special feature to auto-track the heating rate on the resumption of power supply. This is the unique feature of the controller and normally not available in other ordinary controllers.
Master-Slave Control Feature: For larger heating systems requiring more than one controller, the master/slave feature facilitates the user to program one controller as a master and others as a slave. The slave controller will follow the program fed in the master controller. This facility allows uniform heating of the bigger jobs. The master-slave configuration is achieved using the RS485 interface. Out of many controllers, anyone controller can be configured as a master controller and others as slaves. Single Master can control a maximum of 30 slave controllers.

Description:Libratherm offers 6 Zone Ramp/Soak PID Temperature Indicator/Controller (Model PRC-8000) for accurate temperature control of multiple zone gradual heating and cooling. PRC-8000 is ideally suitable and is most economical as it eliminates the need for a number of individual PID or ON/OFF Temperature Controllers required per zone. Each zone can be independently programmed for 16 steps of Ramp/Soak profile. Each loop parameter like PID, Hysteresis, Deviation Hold, Facility to skip unused channel, etc can be programmed from the user-friendly front panel membrane keyboard. The programmed profile and other parameters are retained in the non-volatile memory in the event of power failure.
This Multizone Programmer PRC-8000 can accept 6 Thermocouples or RTD(Pt-100)3 wire inputs and can provide switching PID or ON/OFF Control output in the form of DC Pulses or SSR or relay to drive external load contactor drivers for heating and cooling. It can simultaneously provide 6 analog PID control outputs in the form of (4-20)mA or (0-5)volt, which can be used to control heater power through Thyristor power pack (for the electrical heating system) or to control the position of a modulating motor valve (for oil or gas-fired heating systems). The analog outputs can be directly connected to a single-phase/three-phase SCR phase angle fired power controller which is ideally suitable for both resistive and inductive heating load.

PID-8000 – 4/6/8 loop PID Controller for heating and cooling control.
Description

Libratherm offers ARM Processor-based one to eight loop PID Temperature Controller (Model PID-8000) for processes requiring multiple zones of heating or heating plus cooling control. It is most suitable for the difficult process, which results in frequent system disturbances, and applications where simultaneous and accurate temperature control of a number of heating/cooling zone is required. It also eliminates the need for a number of individual PID or ON/OFF Temperature Controllers thereby saves on cost. PID-8000 can accept max 8 similar type of Thermocouples or RTD (Pt-100) inputs and can provide switching PID or ON/OFF Control output in the form of DC Pulses or SSR Drivers for heating and cooling. It can also simultaneously provide 8 analog PID control Outputs in the form of (4-20mA) or (0-5) volt, which can be used to drive external SCR Heater Power Controller or other actuators. Open or Faulty sensor indications for each zone are also displayed with the respective Zone No. Each zone loop parameter like PID, SET, Hysteresis, Power Limit, and Ramp Time values can be independently programmed from the user-friendly front panel membrane keyboard.

The display scan rate is programmable from 1 to 99 seconds, whereas the internal control scanning is at the rate of 40mS. It also provides common High and Low alarm relay outputs, which can be used for external temperature-dependent, inter-locking, or audio-visual alarms. In brief, PID-8000 is as good as 8 independent PID controllers in a single enclosure, with the facility of different input per channel, different setpoint per channel, and different output per channel – a unique feature.
One of the serial interface RS-485 ports in Modbus protocol is available for the computer interface. The supporting window-based software allows the user to monitor the behavior of all the heating zones in both graphical and tabular form on a computer screen. 2nd RS485 port can be used for Master / Slave functions to cascade more than 1 and a maximum of 30 PID-8000 with each other.
Libratherm also supplies complete ready to use Temperature Control Panel using PID-8000 and other switchgear items and power controllers, which finds its applications in large heating systems having a number of sensors or number of heaters such as Plastic Extruders manufacturing pipes, sheets, etc, Plastic Injection for runner less molding, Tunnel Furnaces for annealing, large Ovens and similar heating systems for industrial use
